Environment: Win Server2012R2 sharing files ordinarily; LAN connection wired; Application named Express Accounting (Thai);
If clients are Win XP or Win7, no problems occur.
If clients are Win 8.1 (or higher), application hangs up with many kinds of error messages, for example, "file4readAllLow", "Can't find the files names bra bra bra...", "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly and Windows will close it and notify you if a solution is available (but I've never been notified for once) " .
What we have already tried to fix the problem but no positive results are:
1. Try disabling SMB2&3 both on Server and Clients to see if newer SMBs are the cause
2. Try the "always on" power options to see if the sleeping harddisk or netcard are the cause
3. Try asking the application developer if their application has some sort of discrimination or hatred for new OS (and the programmer still has no idea what's going on under the hood)
4. Try many things that an ordinary user can do desperately to see if some configuration on any server and client will make miracle ... but none has been found so far
Since recently MS issued the Free upgrade Win7 to Win10Pro which we already tried upgrade a machine to see if the problem still persisted. It did. Sooner or later the upgrade is unevasive. I figured we needed some nerds to help us out with this issues. Please advise. (Excuse me for my poor English.)
