Hello,
I've got a server with 120 GB C: hard drive partiton. I want it to send me an e-mail notification with a warning message when usage reaches 110 GB so there's 10GB free space left. I calculated that 110GB is about 92% of 120 GB. I thought that I should set a hard quota of 120 GB and warning level to 92% (which is reasonable), but Windows seems to calculate free space in some mysterious way I don't understand at all, namely it says that disk usage is 111 GB (92%) so there's 9 GB left, when REAL disk usage is 108,5 GB (90%) so that there's 11,5 GB free space.
Moreover, when I copy some files that the warning level is exceeded FSRM will not sending me an e-mail. So I have set disk quota to 110 GB and warning level of 100%, but again what I see in FSRM is not true - disk quota is set to floating/moving, I don't know how it's called in English (just the opposite to hard quota).
My question is: WHY there's so big DISCREPANCY between real disk usage and what FSRM displays? Can someone tell me how to configure quota and notifications properly.
