We have recently made a Server 2012 R2 file server running on VMware. The disk used to belong to a Server 2008 server, but we have reconnected it to a domain joined 2012 R2 server and shared out the old shares again.
When accessing the server from the Computer - Network Drive, and attempt to create a folder this error appears:
I:\ refers to a location that is unavailable "" "" "" etc...
This error appears even if I go a level deep in the folder and try to create a file or folder.
Here's the strange part. If I use the net use command and create a folder with command line... it works. If I UNC directly to the server... it works. It seems to be only when using Windows Explorer and navigating via the double click on the network drive.
I've tried the same on a Windows 8 PC and it works fine. The problem seems to only exist on Windows 7. Any insight is appreciated.
Edit: Recent discovery, if I disable ABE the problem goes away. Only when ABE is enabled does it occur. I'd like to keep ABE enabled however.
