I have a series of large SAN systems that I am consolidating into one large ReFS spanned volume. Overall I have about 550 TB available. It is divided among a series of 50 TB, 15 TB and 4 TB LUNS as a result of SAN controller limitations. All the LUNs are
marked dynamic GPT disks. So far I freed up enough LUNs to create a 255 TB ReFS volume and copy much of my existing data, which allowed me to erase more LUNs. Now I am trying to span the 255 TB volume onto this new space, with the goal of eventually adding
all the LUNs to the single ReFS volume. When I finish the Extend Volume wizard I get an error 'Not enough free space on the disk(s) to complete the operation.' This happens if I try to extend onto a single 4 TB empty LUN or a combination of 4, 15, or 50 TB
empty LUNs. Does anyone know of ReFS limitations that could be causing this failure? As far as I can tell, ReFS should be able to handle the 500 TB spanned volume just fine. Thank you, Mike
