Dear Experts,
Probably this is not new for you guys, but for me it is a pain, every time the Netapp storage gets powered off due to Power failures at my site.I simply get the Netapp up and check for Offline volumes at the storage end and check the disk management in the windows 2k8 R2 server.
Today it happened again and I put the LUN online from the storage end and checked the disk management of the virtual windows 2k8 app server. There are 4 drives which are mapped to this vm from the same storage. 2 of the drives can be seen as dynamic and they are partitioned one partition can be seen as failed disk.
Now, after I corrected from the storage end the drives can be seen as online now, however they are asking for reactivation.
Disk 1: 600 GB -Spanned & partitioned (Asking for reactivation on right click)
Disk 2: 300 GB -single block-showing failed (Asking for reactivation on right click)
QUESTION:
If I reactivate it, does the spanned disk containing the DB looses data?
Any chances if the single disk loses data?
Guys , I am stuck here, please suggest.
