I don't understand the design idea here on Server 2008. As a Domain Administrator I cannot change folders I have "full control" permissions on. Owner is Administrators, Domain Admins and Domain\Administrators have full control, but I get Access Denied when attempting to do anything with permissions.
Running Explorer as admin does not do anything.
Obviously it's running as a normal user within explorer... So how the **** am I mean to change these permissions? If I log on as the Administrator account itself I can - what makes that account special over any other Domain Admin with permissions??
I just don't get how anyone ever thought this situation is OK and why it remains like this without a fix... I'm on a server as a Domain Administrator, I have Full Control over Folder, Let me change the folder permissions... Or give a way (that works) to run explorer with that Domain Admin security.
