Missing administrative share on Windows 2003 File Server

I have noticed that one of the hard drive on the Windows 2003 file server has missing administrative share. I can connect to C$, E$, F$ but not G$ hard drive from my workstation. I have no idea why it was setup this way but now I need to copy come files and folder from the G drive using mapping network connection as G$. I have found Microsoft Article ID: 816113 “How to use Registry Editor to restore administrative shares in Windows Server 2003” http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816113/en-au

Its look like that “AutoShareServer” value is not present in the registry hive at all. I’m guessing that if this key doesn’t exist it can be recreated, right?! My biggest concern if it would effect anyhow existing network shares on the server?! Basically, after restore administrative shares on the G hard drive I don’t want to lose any existing shares and permissions on the C, E and F hard drives.

Thanks in advance
