Hi,

I am moving from a Novell Server to  a Windows 2012 server and I just start getting familiar to NTFS Permissions. By default in Novell , there was a "Visibility List" function that, giving permissions to any subfolder, allowing the userto see automatically the structure of all Parent folders, until it gets  the one which had the permissions. For example:

In the Share I called "Italy", there is "Lazio", in this folder is "Rome", in this folder is "Rome1". "Marco"write permissionson "Roma1" and whenMarcoenters theshareof Novell network"Italy" sees"Lazio" gets inside and sees"Roma"gets inside and sees"Roma1".

In the "Italia" Share, there are other folders like Lombardy – Calabria- Puglia etc etc.. But "Marco" , havingonly the "Roma1" permissions, it can see the parent folders only that contain it: "Lazio" and "Roma". It doesn't see Lombardia – Calabria….

How can I recreate this situation in Windows , without having to go to each folder of the parent folders to give the permissions?

Thanks,

Daniel
