CA and Clustered File Server for General Use

Hi all,

I am currently designing a multi-site failover cluster file server for information workers (approx 110TB of data). The role will be 'File Server for General Use'.

I was going to enable CA so that users connecting with an OS later then Windows 8 would leveredge transparent failover. After reading the following article, it appears there are two choices:

http://blogs.technet.com/b/filecab/archive/2013/12/05/to-scale-out-or-not-to-scale-out-that-is-the-question.aspx

1. Enable CA on a File Server for General Use and cop a performance hit, but get the CA benefits
2. Don't enable CA, performance is 'normal' for the hardware running the server but a failover won't be as nice for end users (depending on the application being used at the time)

Is this correct? I noticed the article reference writted by Ned was for Server 2012, I just wanted to make sure that nothing changed in 2012 R2 that means we should enable CA for the general file server role.

Cheers.
