Event about missing share

Hello Guys,

I'm trying to find some event in Windows Event logs, which is generated upon some share is not available. Or the same event when a volume is not available.

I lost a disk on my server (Windws Server 2008 R2) which is running on Vmware host. And no event was generated, disk was missing, volume and share was not available and no event in the logs. It's a standalone server, not cluster.

Any clue if events like this are somewhere stored? I mean on the Windows level, no Vmware.
