fqdn in published dfs-r share

Hello,

we just recently migrated our namespaces to DNS based redirects. We have one namespace where our replicated shares are published and this shows some interesting behavior. We have only removed and re-added the namespace servers (as in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244380) for this namespace. Interestingly share1 is almost completly using fqdn targets and share2 only has some fqdn targets while both shares point to the same set of servers.

Why is that? What is the process to make the server register themselves as fqdn targets? Is it save to export, edit and import such published dfs-r folders?
