Hey folks,
I have DFS replication coming from about 12 sites, and works without issue. Site number 13, however, never starts replication. Setting up replication worked fine. Found the folders to replicate, selected the local copy-to area.
I know that it seemed to have done the initial test, each of the folders had a new shortcut (DFSRPrivate). I received the Event ID 5004:
The DFS Replication service successfully established an inbound connection with partner WESTERN for replication group Western Data Center.
Additional Information:
Connection Address Used: WESTERN.MyDomain.com
Connection ID: 24B4E58F-3845-473E-A080-FA49CAC0F43B
Replication Group ID: D8674C4A-C4DB-4CB8-A974-D1D9D16E3943
Then the subsequent 5106:
The replication mode on the connection to partner WESTERN has changed.
Additional Information:
Previous Replication Mode: Obey Configured Schedule
Current Replication Mode: Obey Configured Schedule
Current Bandwidth Usage: Obey Configured Schedule
Duration, in minutes, for current mode:
Connection ID: 24B4E58F-3845-473E-A080-FA49CAC0F43B
Replication Group ID: Western Data Center
But that's as far as it goes. I did do an initial scan of all the files to find the largest ones, so I can set my quota properly. Largest file was 21.9 GB, I set the quota to 24 GB.
Determining minimum stating area
But no luck on resolving this. I'm about ot blow it away and re-define again to see if that fixes it, but thought I would ask here first.
Thanks,
Shifu
