I created a new DFS namespace and replication group, with a shared folder on several servers. Our admins have full access and domain users have read and execute access. I have an admin account, and my regular domain account. I gave my domain account read/write
access, but I still couldn't write to the shared folder (\\Server\Folder) until I added my account to the Share Permissions. Is this normal?
When I edited the NTFS permissions (I think that's what it is - Security tab in the folder properties) and added my account, those permissions replicated to the folder on all the other servers. The Sharing permissions did not.
Is there a different or better way to achieve read/write access to all the shares? Is there a way to replicate it?
