Hello
I received a copy of Server 2K8 R2 off of DreamSpark to help go along with my studies. Last night I installed it on an old PC that I had and placed my drives in it and shared them with "everyone" with full access.
I enabled Function Discovery Resource Publication, SSDP Discovery, and UPnP Device host to be able to turn on Network discovery and that seems to be working fine.
From my PC (Windows 8.1) I can see the server under network devices and I can ping it and even Remote Desktop into it. but when just trying to access the shares I get an error saying the network path cannot be found. I then tried it on my android tablet and was able to access the shares no problem at all but i just cant from the windows 8.1 PC.
I am at work right now but is there anything else I should give a try? I have also disabled all firewalls to no avail.
