I have a scenario and unfortunately, any search i have attempted come up with a bunch of nonsense about slow transfer speeds, period.
Here is my scenario, when any file is transferred over SMB it works as fast as possible. Task manager reports the full 100MBs being used and the client reflects this along with the actual file transfer is perfectly fast. The issue is that if a second file transfer is initiated prior to the first one completing, it will stall until the first completes, even to the same client PC.
So, if i start to transfer fileA -> client1 (500MB) and then start to transfer fileB -> client2 (250kb), i have to wait till fileA completes for B to start. I've never seen this before. It happens on any combination of client PCs, even the same one.
I suspect the previous IT vendor made a change that is causing this behavior, but can't figure out where to start. I've been digging through every other article about disabling SMB signing, why isn't my gigabit network fast, etc for the past day and can't fin any relevant information.
Thanks in advance, M.
