hello,
I have a school project to connect a SAN with Windows server 2012R2 thru ISCSI, a client of school wants to have a solution on using 12x3TB disks in a SAN for his online backup. And because an ISCSI LUN can not be greater than 27TB we must find an other solution for the parity. So i was testing my setup on Windows server and now i have simulated an disk failure by pulling out a disk of the SAN. I formatted it and put it back in and i aso reconfigured the lun on the disk. And now in storage spaces my new disk is rebuilded but i cannot remove my old one that "failed". Does anyone has the answer to this. When i want to remove the physical drive from the storage pool it says that i have to replace it with a new disk but i have already done this.
