Hello,
I am testing out 2012 Server Standard 64 bit. I have (2) servers running 2012, created cluster, adding role of file share, created SMB share using Add a file share in cluster, then SMB Share- Quick , named it bowe.
After completion, I created another share, this time NFS, using NFS Share - Advanced as I need to name both shares with the same name (bowe).
NFS created, tested from Unix and I can touch files in the share, so NFS working (not perfect, error on Root even with Root enabled for access, but my other user with a valid AD NFS mapping group works good, so good enough for now).
When I look in events for Services for NFS, I see a good event below:
A new NFS share was created. Path:F:\Shares\bowe, Alias:bowe, ShareFlags:0x81EE00, Encoding:7, SecurityFlavorFlags:0x2, UnmappedUid:4294967294, UnmappedGid:4294967294
Yet, the NFS share is not displayed at the lower section under Failover Cluster Mgr while Role for File Server is in focus. I can see the SMB and admin share (both SMB) but no NFS. Also, if I head back to Server Mgr, File and Storage Services, Shares, I see the SMB but no NFS.
I have some further mods I wish to make on the NFS but without access to it in the GUI, I'm hard pressed to changes things.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
