Is there any information on the limitations (if any) of Work Folders in Server 2012R2 with regards to File Size, Illegal Characters in File/Folder names, number of files, ...?
I'm doing a comparison with Onedrive for Business which has a dedicated page about their limitations: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-sharepoint-online-enterprise-help/sharepoint-online-software-boundaries-and-limits-HA102694293.aspx
In particular, I would like to find out if Work Folders have similar limitations for
- Maximum File Size: is it 2GB like in OneDrive for Business or 'unlimited'
- Illegal characters in the file/folder names? e.g., # and % are legal file characters, but illegal for OneDrive for Business.
- Number of files? (20,000 in OneDrive for Business (!?))
Furthermore, is there any public technical information on the sync process itself. In particular, does delta sync occurs (i.e., copy only the part of the file that has changed), or is the entire file always copied again after a change? What happens if a user gets disconnected during a sync: will afterwards the sync restart by copying the entire file or only the 'missing' part?
