Windows 2008 R2 file copy freezing

I have two windows 2008 R2 64  bit servers. I'm trying to copy a large amount of files (over 1000/as little as 500 mg) and at about 30-40% it just hangs. waited overnight a few times but no change. The nic is set to 1 gig full auto and verified that the port is as well. 
 Nic is a Broadcom BCM5709c NetXtreme IIGigE. 

I have disabled IPV4 large send offload and IPV4 checksum offload. 
IPV6 is disabled on the cards already.
