We have DFS set without replication. We have a namespace set up as follows
\\domain.com\name\share1
\share2
etc.
We often need to access an IT share, from a client system, under this namespace. Only IT personnel have access to this share so it is necessary to map a drive to this location using different credentials. However, our users have software that runs from \\domain.com\name\share1 and this is mapped as z: drive. When we try to map a drive to\\domain.com\name\IT using our admin credentials we get an error.
The network folder specified is currently mapped using a different user name and password. To connect using a different user name and password, first disconnect any existing mappings to this network share.
