We have 3 file servers in our office. All run Windows 2008 Server R2 X64 Enterprise. File server services are all they do.
One of the servers runs perfectly.
Two of the servers... when an office user uses windows explorer on their own machine to view the folders & files on the file server it is extremely fast. But, if I either log in locally or RDP onto the file server... using windows explorer... it is slow as molasses. I wold estimate a 5-7 second delay.
Microsoft is blaming Doubletake, a replication software package we use. But... we use Doubletake on all three of these servers... I have found postings suggesting Kaspersky AV is the issue... but again, we have Kaspersky on all 3 servers.
Any ideas??
