Windows 2003 File Server Upgradation to Windows 2008

Hi,

We have Windows 2003 R2 Standard server (32bit) which is configured as File Server, all users files and folders are stored on our Dedicated NAS device. NAS device and Windows 2003 R2 Standard server (32bit) is connected using SCSI Cable (G:,H:,I:).

And Files and folders permissions are configured using NTFS permission using ACTIVE DIRECTORY 2008. Now we want to upgrade existing Windows 2003 R2 Standard Server (32bit) - File server to Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server (64 bit) on same server. I would like to know is it possible to upgrade without losing files and folder permission configured on existing Windows 2003 R2 STD.?

Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Arjun
