I am new to this so I know this is going to be back to the real basics, but need help getting this set up.
I am running windows server 2008 R2, there is not domain, not active directory, it is just running a workgroup. All of that is going to come about in a year or so.
What I want to do is share out a drive on the network and within the sub folder in the structure I want to allow groups or individuals to be able to be able to save, change read only etc.
Example 1 is I have a M: drive that is the the employee drive. I want the share drive to be read only but each employee to have full rights to their individual folder as well as any subfolder/file, but all other employee are to be able to read only.
Example 2 is I have a drive and again it is read only but some folder are to be hidden so that they can not see then but select users can see them and have full rights to them. Any Help would be so helpful
