A couple quick questions about storage / storage spaces:
First question: Is this summary correct: 1)I can have a physical box with 6 hot-swap bays filled with different sized sata drives, and 2) I can finally increase storage simply by yanking an existing drive and replacing it with a much larger drive…expanding the pool with no data loss.
Second question: if I build a 2012r2 server on the above box as a hyper-v host, and the box has 6 drives of varying sizes, and I am running various VMs on this box, will I be able to yank a small drive, replace it with a larger drive, and expand the pool…with no data loss? (No production VMs here, so shutting down VMs or the physical box isn't an issue.)
Thanks!
