Deduplication/VSS Problem

Hey everybody,

we have a strange Problem gettint Deduplication running on our System.

We have a freshly installed System.
It has a Fibre Channel RAID connected via a QLogic FC Controller.

On this we have one LUN connected to Windows with 75TB disk space.
50 percent are already full with data.

So we configured Deduplication in the Server Manager.
Everything fine so far.

Now the strange things are:

As soon as a Dedup Process/Task starts there are tons of events from vss.
They all say: VSS Error ID: 12289.
Volumeshadowcopy-Error: Unexpected Err "DeviceIoControl(\\?\Volume{4eb82515-5596-4e9e-96e4-45febfec622a}"

Is there any solution about this?

All i found so far was for Hyper-V...

There is no Backup-Software configured or installed on this System.
As soon as Dedup works we are doing the Backup with MS DPM 2012R2.
But until now there is no agent installed or anything else.

Does anyone have a tip for me?

Thank you very much!

Regards,

Christoph Borchert
